Kurt Mueller

Kurt Mueller is a founder of Safe Site Strategies and brings nearly three decades of law enforcement leadership and training experience to workplace safety and de-escalation programs.

Over his 29-year career with the State of California, Kurt served in a wide range of specialized investigative and leadership roles. He began his career with the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control conducting undercover vice operations before moving to the Department of Justice, where he investigated major narcotics organizations, counter-terrorism cases, and supervised complex fraud and violent crime investigations.

As his career progressed, Kurt supervised and managed specialized task forces, including sexual assault felony enforcement and high-risk fugitive tracking teams. He eventually rose to the role of Deputy Chief, overseeing eight DOJ offices statewide. In that capacity, he implemented officer safety and de-escalation training, developed workplace conflict resolution protocols, and led initiatives to strengthen team performance, morale, and tactical readiness.

Today, Kurt applies that expertise to help organizations prepare their employees to recognize risks, defuse tense situations, and respond safely and effectively to workplace challenges.
